How to Reach

IIT Delhi is located in Hauz Khas, South Delhi, and is well connected by air, rail, and road.

 

By Air

The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi, located about 10 km from IIT Delhi. The airport has international and domestic terminals with direct connectivity to major cities worldwide.

From the airport, you can reach IIT Delhi via:

Metro: Take the Airport Express Line to New Delhi Metro Station, then switch to the Yellow Line towards Hauz Khas or IIT Delhi Metro Station.

Taxi/Cab: App-based services like Uber and Ola are available, taking around 30–40 minutes depending on traffic.

 

By Train

New Delhi has several major railway stations:
New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) – 15 km from IIT Delhi
Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station (NZM) – 12 km from IIT Delhi
Old Delhi Railway Station (DLI) – 18 km from IIT Delhi

From these stations, you can take a metro (Yellow Line to Hauz Khas or IIT Delhi Station), a taxi, or an auto-rickshaw to reach the campus

 

By Road

IIT Delhi is well connected by road:Bus Services: Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) operates buses from various locations.
